Define Key Flexfields Definitions
Before creating Key Flexfields consider following:
- Plan the Structure
- Plan number of Segments of each Key Flexfield
- Segment Size
- Segment Values
- Validations
- Future Changes Considerations
Following Key Flexfields are required:
a) Jobs Flexfield
b) Position Flexfield
c) Grade Flexfield
d) Competency Flexfield
e) People Group Flexfield
f) Cost Allocation Flexfield
Job Flexfield
Responsibility >> System Administrator or Application Developer
(N) Application > Flexfield > Key > Segments
Search for Job Flexfield under Human Resources Application
- Insert a new records by selecting New from the toolbar
- Enter following details for new Job Flexfield

Select Segments
Click Value Set (Button) and enter the following information:

| Description | DAY8 Job Name value set for Testing |
| List Type | List of Values |
| Security Type | No Security |
| Format Type | Char |
| Maximum Size | 20 |
| Uppercase Only (A-Z) | Checked (Yes) |
| Validation Type | Independent |
- Save and Close the screen
- Enter the Value Set Name in the Value Set field on Segments Summary screen
- In the 2nd lines enter following information

Click Value Set (Button) and enter following information:

Save the data and click “Edit Information (button) and enter the following information

- Save and close the screen
- Enable Cross-Validation Segments, Allow Dynamic Inserts and Freeze Flexfield Definition checkboxes
For Skill Select “Flexfield Qualifiers”
Define new Location
(N) Work Structures 🡪 Location
Define Business Group
(N) Work Structures 🡪 Organization 🡪 Description
Select “New”
Add Organization Classifications
Add “GRE / Legal Entity” as Organization Classifications
Now the next step is to make our Business Group a HR Organization in order to assign employees to the organization.
Enabled Additional Payroll Details for Business Group
Freeze Flexfield Definition
Update Value set
Job Creation
