While Saving Location – FRM-40735: ON-INSERT trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-29273
Issue
Error while saving a new location “FRM-40735: ON-INSERT trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-29273″. See screenshot below.
Steps to reproduce
1. Login to Oracle Applications and go to responsibility ‘Projects – Vision Services’.
2. Navigate to Setup > Resources and Organizations > Work Structures > Define Locations
3. Create a new location and save the record. Error appears.
Resolution
1. Upon investigation it was found that the Vision environment automatically populates system profile ‘IRC: Geocode Host’ with value ‘http://elocation.oracle.com/elocation/lbs’ (see screenshot below).
2. Simply remove this value by going to System Administrator responsibility > System > Profile. And then query system profile ‘IRC: Geocode Host’ and remove any value at site level.
3. Retest by creating a new location. The error wouldn’t appear now.
Define Business Group
(N) Work Structures à Organization à Description
Select “New” to create a Business Group
Select Type = Business Group and Select Location
Select Organization Classifications options
- Business Group
Simply remove this value by going to System Administrator responsibility > System > Profile. And then query system profile ‘IRC: Geocode Host’ and remove any value at site level.
